Will Gadd - Keynote Speaker

Will Gadd is one of the top outdoor adventure athletes in the world (Outside, Men's Journal and Explore.). He has appeared in, hosted or produced more than 100 global television projects. He is an award-winning writer (New York Times, Men's Journal, etc.), film maker, and dad (no awards yet). His book on ice climbing is the top publication in its field, and has been translated into five languages.

Gadd's presentations on "Risk and Reward" and related topics take him all over the world to speak to audiences ranging from Nike and Enbridge to at-risk youth. He is a National Geographic "Adventurer of the year" and recently became the first person to climb a frozen Niagara Falls. Last winter he used his ice climbing skills to find new life forms under a glacier, a world first. He is an ACMG guide, and uses way too much spice in his cooking.

Safe 4 the Right ReasonsMain Room: 9:15am

Dale Lesinski - DiVal Safety Equipment, Inc.

Safe 4 the Right Reasons delivers the necessary ingredient to motivate employees and drive safe behaviors. Safety programs that consist of rules, policies and procedures fall short. Employees must have a personal motivation to be safe. For over a decade Safe 4 the Right Reasons has been one of the most effective safety messages in the market. It gets employees to reassess how they value their own safety and gives them perspective on how important their safety is to not just themselves but the ones that love them, as well. Employees will place a greater value on their safety on the job and off the job as well!

Safe 4 the Right Reasons also serves as the perfect enabler to allow employees to watch out for one another in a positive and respectful way. This session has universal appeal. It incorporates humor, common sense and plenty of audience participation.

Safe 4 Culture Changer ProgramMain Room: 2:30pm

Dale Lesinski - DiVal Safety Equipment, Inc.

Built upon the foundation of the “Safe 4 the Right Reasons” safety message, this is an organized, planned and proven method of improving company’s safety cultures. Most companies don’t have a lack of desire, dedication or even funding to keep their employees safe, what they often lack is a plan. This session addresses the ineffective approach that consists of sporadic events, lack of consistency and commitment resulting in the “flavor of the day” safety effort that results in meager results.

Let’s face it, we are Safety Marketers – we are attempting to influence our employees and drive them to want what we are offering, being safe so they can continue to take care of their families and loved ones.
