He is a veteran of Operations Enduring Freedom and Noble Eagle, and an expert in small unit direct combat missions. He has elivered thousands of pistol permit and concealed carry courses.
In this session, David will cover situational awareness, including having an environmental baseline, exit and entry points, best vantage points, cover vs. concealment, and weapons. This session will also discuss the OODA loop (observe, orient, decide, act), how an active shooter chooses their target(s), the crime of opportunity, specific targets, surveillance indicators, behavioral indicators, and the “see something say something” campaign. The run/hide/fight active shooter video will also be shown.
