American pattern, round chainsaw file for sharpening the teeth of any chainsaw blade.
- Tighten tension on the chainsaw's chain to firmly support cutting edge for filing
- File from the inside to the outside of the cutter
- Place file against beveled cutting surface of teeth at an angle of 20° to 45° with saw
- Sharpen all left-hand cutterson one side of chain
- Then move to the other side and file all the right-hand cutters
- We recommend that you check the depth gauge height every 2 or 3 sharpenings
- Height between cutting teeth and depth gauge ranges between .020" to .030"
- Round shaped file with a knurled cut for more aggressive sharpening
