700 Road deaths predicted for 2016 holiday season

The National Safety Council is predicting 700 road deaths over the 2016 holiday season.


The week of Christmas was expected to take 314 lives and New Year's weekend alone will claim another 364, NSC says. That weekend is also expected to have 41,900 injuries on the road, compared to the Christmas-time accident prediction of 37,200 injuries.
